Sreedhareeyam Test House (STH) is the modern testing laboratory of Sreeedhareeyam Group situated at Koothattukulam in Ernakulum District of Kerala. This is a full-fledged and well equipped laboratory with trained manpower to provide Timely, Reliable and Dependable Results economically. In addition to the instruments required to carry out routine Physico Chemical Analysis, the Chemical and Analytical Division of the Laboratory is equipped with modern analytical instruments like Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, UV - VIS Spectro photometer, HPLC, HPTLC, Flame photometer etc. The Microbiology Division has Air Handling Units to provide ISO Class 5 rooms equates to a Class 100 clean room under the Federal Standard 209E, which allows for 100 particles (0.5 microns or larger) per cubic foot of air with separate airlocks for “entry and exit” to examine the Microbiological Tests.
Atomic absorption spectroscopy is an analytical procedure for the quantitative determination of elements using the absorption emitted by free atoms in the gaseous state. Atomic absorption spectrophotometer by Shimadzu at STH has Hydride Vapour Generator (HVG) and Graphite Furnace (GF) attachments which allow the determination of Heavy metals like Arsenic, Mercury, Lead and Cadmium in ppb (parts per billion) levels which is essential in Pharmaceutical & AYUSH Formulations and Neutraceuticals.
High performance liquid chromatography is a technique in analytical chemistry used to separate, identify, and quantify each component in a mixture. Helps in chromatographic analysis, assay of organic compounds; determine their purity and content of impurities, assay of Vitamins, estimation and quantification of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and Mycotoxins like Aflatoxins etc. Fingerprints of individual crude drugs or their mixture can also be developed.
High performance thin-layer chromatography is an economical method and enhanced form of thin-layer chromatography. To increase the resolution achieved and to allow more accurate quantitative measurements, HPTLC at STH has a scanner to evaluate the presence of active ingredients in a pharmaceutical formulation or AYUSH drug.
Tests which can be performed with HPTLC
Profiling of crude herbs and formulations, Detection of adulterants.
Content uniformity test, identity/purity check, stability testing.
Dyestuff analysis, Poisoning investigation, Detection of document falsification.
Additives, Pesticides, Stability testing.
Water, Soil, Residue Analysis.
Lipids, Metabolism studies, Drugs screening, Doping control.
Ultraviolet visible spectroscopy or ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry refers to absorption spectroscopy or reflectance spectroscopy in the ultraviolet visible spectral region. This means it uses light in the visible and adjacent ranges.
Analysis pharmaceutical testing (identification and concentration testing of proteins, oligonucleotides, peptides, peptides, small molecules etc).
